Winning listings and generating fees, but wondering if there's a better way? Watch our free webinar about becoming a self-employed estate agent.
You might even be perfectly happy where you are.
But are you getting the rewards your experience and results deserve, or have you simply never been shown another way?
Imagine you complete a sale that generates a £4,000 fee for your agency.
How much of that actually makes it into your pocket?
This isn't about criticising traditional estate agencies. Running one is expensive. Offices, salaries, property portals, marketing, administration and management all have to be paid for.
The reality, however, is that even exceptional agents can find their earning potential limited by the structure they work in.
Perhaps the answer isn't to become a better estate agent.
Perhaps it's to explore a different business model.
Working for Yourself Doesn't Mean Doing Everything Yourself
For many agents, self-employment means opening an office, hiring staff and taking responsibility for every aspect of running an estate agency.
But it doesn't have to work that way.
With the right business partner, experienced agents can build their own estate agency businesses while benefiting from an established brand, technology, marketing, training and ongoing support.
They can retain a greater share of the fees they generate, have more control over their working lives and provide a highly personal service to their clients, without recreating the overheads of a traditional high-street agency.
Of course, self-employment isn't right for everyone. It brings responsibilities, costs and risks, and there is no guaranteed salary.
But if you're already winning listings and delivering results, it may be an opportunity worth understanding.
They also answer the question many agents ask when they first hear about the opportunity:
Nobody is suggesting that you hand in your notice tomorrow.
This is simply an opportunity to look behind the curtain, understand a different way of working and decide for yourself whether it could help you achieve more.
You don't have to be unhappy in your current role to be curious about what else might be possible.
